Hello again!
It's now four days since I took my cat to get neutered, and it was definitely an adventure!
After waking up at 6-something in the morning, I packed up my cat and drove across town to pick up my sister (Real MVP of the whole day). Together, we took Hades and dropped him off at the mobile vet downtown at 8am sharp.
I had my weighted blanket with me while I was driving, which definitely helped. Having someone else go with me was honestly probably the only reason I was able to do it at all, though.
Then my sister and I spent the entire morning at my apartment, making breakfast and sewing. I worked on my bra replica project, and she worked on cutting out a pants pattern out of a pretty dusty pink cotton. I had honestly a very good time despite being so overly tired, and before we knew it it was time to go pick my cat back up.
We stopped at Dutch on the way, just barely missing getting some free enamel pins by a couple hours, as we found out later. Oh well.
We picked up my cat, and I dropped my sister off back home. Finally, after around eight hours of driving and socializing and generally being very Responsible, I headed home with my very sleepy looking cat.
Also, remember that little pillow-cone of shame I made for him last weekend? Yeah, he very quickly learned how to pull it off over his head. I might have tried tightening the string down further, but I didn't want to accidentally suffocate him or anything. Oh well, he didn't seem to be licking any unwanted areas an alarming amount so I gave up on putting it back on him.
About an hour after getting home, and after my anxiety about my very sleepy and very clumsy cat had subsided, I crashed hard. I didn't mind so much sleeping the entire rest of the day away, as I had work the next day and wanted to rest as much as possible.
So far, as I write this, my cat is doing well! He has a little bald butt (not pictured for obvious reasons), and a patch of fur missing from his stomach where he got a sick green tattoo.
Yeah, that means my cat is cool now. 😎
Well, now I'm writing from my couch at home instead of at work where I'm supposed to be...
I recovered pretty well from that cat neuter day I think, and worked a couple days no problem. On the 2nd though, by the end of the day I was in a decent amount of pain.
My lower back hip socket was giving me sharp pains whenever I took a step, and (I'm pretty sure I gave myself plantar fasciitis) my feet were having a lot of pain right in front of my heels when I walked. (I walk about 6 miles a day)
I'm twenty four by the way...
Combining that with all my usual aches and pains, this is not day two of calling out and I still feel in awful. Though, this is also about the time of month I have to call out for a day or two thanks to my PMDD...
Anyway, I'm going to start putting together a big long post on the making of my bra (which is almost done!!), so stay tuned!
Bye,
-Sam
